Ng Bong Seng is the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Gleneagles Hospital Penang. He leads the hospital’s strategic growth, focusing on innovation, excellence and patient-centred care.
With over 24 years of experience in healthcare, Ng plays a pivotal role in strengthening hospital operations and services. During his tenure as Chief Operating Officer at Pantai Hospital Penang, he led essential initiatives in doctor recruitment, built partnerships with government hospitals and secured outsourced projects during the pandemic to ensure continuity of care. He also supported the Chief Executive Officer in enhancing hospital operations and services, driving Pantai Hospital Penang’s growth in meeting increasing patient requirements. As Chief Operating Officer of Pantai Hospital Laguna Merbok, Ng has strengthened the team, streamlined operational workflows and continued expanding the hospital.
Ng’s career in IHH Healthcare Malaysia began when he joined Pantai Hospital Penang in 2000 as a Medical Physicist. He played a significant role in quality management and served as the lead auditor for the hospital’s ISO 9001 2000 certification. His expertise saw him advance to the role of Chief Medical Physicist in 2008. He was key in establishing and managing radiotherapy services at both Pantai Hospital Penang and Gleneagles Hospital Penang.
